When I got admission in kct, actually I was very worried. The
thought of spending my next 2 years in another state vth strangers made me insomniac. Actually I had a great
life in cochin and was very sad that I have to leave my best friends here and
more than that I was really going to miss our cricket matches.
The day came and I joined in hostel.
I got a room with 2 industrial engineering fresher’s. At night 2 other people
also joined in our room and all 4 tamilians vth a single malayalee.They started
talking about films (time when “mankatha” was released),they havn’t spoken to
me and as language was a problem I was jst lying on my bed.Suddenly a guy came
and asked me about kerala.Tamil language was a real problem for me and somehow I
managed to tell him something.His next question was “who has got more number of
fans in kerala apart from rajni?”.i told him with a smiling face “vijay”.He quickly told me
something in tamil and went back to other 3 boys and joined in conversation.”unnakke
onnum aa sori naayude film paakan vekkame illayaa”…I understood he was very angry vth me.Next day morning they
asked whether am interested to go vth them for a movie(mankatha).That hangout
completely removed all my worries about
tamilnadu and people there and “BEST TWO YEARS OF MY LIFE STARTS FROM THERE”
Then kishore came to our class after a week.2ND
malayalle in class.By that time I adapted very well vth all tamil friends and “anbe””paasaam”
love they showed in me was wordless..i saw lot of innocence in tamil nadu
people,if they love you they love you unconditionally,if they hate you they
hate you till you love them.Their character solely depends upon our attitude towards
them and am fortunate enough to get best friends and and till date they din
hate me or vice versa.
My friend ajith here used to say cricketer” sachin “is a
waste.I used to tell him that “you are the only one in the world who would say
that”.I was proved wrong in tamil nadu. i saw
a large amount of people there hating sachin and praising dhoni.That
moment I started hating dhoni and my only argument with them was about GOD. I used to ask them”nethe
pirantha dhoni daivathikkum athipan ennu solllan unnakkonum mandayil moolayee
illlayaa??”””. International and Ipl
matches matches broadcast in hostel in big screens and it was like watching matches in actual
stadium.”the most memorable moment was
when sachin storm sinks Chennai super kings during last ipl,sehwag getting
double century and standing ovation to sachin when he got 100th century”.
Weekends were like festivals in hostel.We will not plan
anything,every decision were instantaneous.Films,trips,kalaparipaadiz were the
main agenda.I still remember watching DON 2 and show got over at 12.30 am.No
one in road and we were like monkeys jumping screaming,lying in roads of coimbatore and
discussing about priyanka chopra.
There is no queue before tasmac (beverage) in tamil nadu,it’s
the main difference between kerala and tamil nadu.In kerala we are following
FIFO(First in first out) whereas in tamil nadu sound matters..”annai oru

In hostel we used to buy “royal challenge” during Sundays and
we are having full day before us.Touchings will be
grilled,tandoori,porotta,beef etc.starting at 10.00am we will be in our bed by
3.00 in evening and get up at 7.00 night and
take a bath and continue process.
”Grasshopping” was another thing which refreshes college memories.ThERE wher tym when we continuously grasshopped for 2 week at night and lying inside college campus looking at trees laughing,laughing,laughing,laughing…………………………………………still could not stop laughing…………………………..
Any way exam results were always positive for all of us and
Still I feel that my POST GRADUATE DEGREE came to me as a gift.I have not done
anything to get it still am a PG holder.College days are over and I have to
join on Monday for my first job.Life in TAMIL NADU came to an end and “I love
tamil nadu and people there”(STILL I HATE DHONI THOUGH)..
